WHAT TO EXPECT

Exact Path is a computer-based adaptive assessment, which means that it responds to learners' answers to pinpoint levels. I recommend reading the FAQs, for more details and important tips.

Please remember that the FL DOE simply has the requirement of taking the assessment and uploading the results at this time, so it is not high stakes testing; it is not a pass/fail test and your funding will not be affected.

This is a good opportunity for young people to get familiar & confident with test taking skills without high stakes pressure, as testing is usually necessary at some point for academic and career goals.

There is no time limit, but plan to complete the testing within 2-3 days. Choose the best time and place for your family, when your child(ren) are well-rested, fed, and best able to focus.

Breaks are highly encouraged.

There are 3 sections of the test:

Math, Reading, and English Language Arts (ELA).

Each section consists of the following:

A description of the average number of questions and time to expect when taking an Exact Path diagnostic or end-of-year assessment. This is an online test that can be done at home, monitored by the parent educator, with breaks as needed and no time limits, no stress - so it is the best option to fulfill the Personalized Education Program (PEP Scholarship) requirements from the Florida Department of Education and Step Up For Students.
